Buying & shopping experience
Can I buy a mattress and take it home today?
Yes. Same-day pickup from our Chilliwack showroom at 101-44703 Yale Road is available on any in-stock mattress, seven days a week from 10am to 6pm. We have over 500 mattresses in stock across 40+ styles. Call ahead at (604) 392-6099 to confirm a specific model is on the floor before driving in.
Do your salespeople work on commission?
No. Our sales team is salaried, not commissioned. There is no incentive for any team member to push you toward a more expensive mattress or rush your decision. You can take as long as you need testing mattresses on our showroom floor — we have 40+ styles you can lie on and compare side by side.
What are your hours?
We are open seven days a week, 10am to 6pm. Statutory holidays sometimes have adjusted hours, which we post in advance on our Google Business Profile. The showroom is closed on Christmas Day only.
Should I buy a mattress in the morning or evening?
It doesn't matter much for the product itself, but the practical answer is this: visit us in the late morning or early afternoon if possible, so you have unrushed time on the showroom floor to lie down on multiple styles. Evening shoppers usually feel rushed and pick based on price alone. We are open 10am-6pm every day, including Sunday.
How often should I replace my mattress?
Industry guidance is 7-10 years for most quality mattresses, but the real signal is how you wake up. If you are stiff or sore, if you sleep better in hotels, if you see visible sagging or bulges, or if your partner's movement now wakes you when it didn't before, it is probably time. Bring your old mattress condition in and we'll give you an honest assessment, no pressure.
Delivery, pickup & old mattress removal
How much does mattress delivery cost in the Fraser Valley?
Local delivery from our Chilliwack showroom is paid by zone: $30 within Chilliwack, $40 to Abbotsford, Mission, or Hope, and $50 to Langley or Maple Ridge. Vancouver and Surrey delivery are available — call (604) 392-6099 for a quote on your specific address. Same-day pickup at our 101-44703 Yale Road showroom is always free for any in-stock mattress.
Do you take away the old mattress when you deliver?
Yes. Old mattress removal is available for a small fee on top of the delivery charge. Mention it when you place your order and our delivery team will pick up your old mattress on the same trip and dispose of it for you. We accept any size from Twin to King.
Should I have it delivered or pick it up myself?
Pickup is free but you need a vehicle that fits the mattress (a queen fits in most SUVs or trucks; a king usually requires a roof rack or trailer) and at least one helper to carry it. Delivery is paid by zone (Chilliwack $30, Abbotsford $40, Langley $50) and includes the team carrying it to your bedroom, setting it on the frame, and optionally removing the old mattress. For most customers, paid delivery is worth it.
Pricing, financing & price match
How much can I save vs retail?
Most of our inventory is priced 30-70% off retail, with the deepest discounts on clearance, last-of-stock, and one-off deals. As a no-commission shop with direct authorized-dealer relationships, we hold lower margins than chain stores or department stores. Boxed mattresses start at $249 (Rockwell Twin); luxury Beautyrest models top out around $3,000.
What's the cheapest mattress you carry?
Our entry-level boxed mattresses start at $249 for a Rockwell Twin and $399 for a Rockwell Queen. These are all-new factory-warrantied foam mattresses, sealed in plastic, easy to carry home in a small car. They are a real mattress, not a temporary fix — many of our long-term customers buy Rockwell for guest rooms, kids' rooms, RVs, and rentals.
Do you price match?
Yes. We beat any comparable Fraser Valley brick-and-mortar mattress retailer's price by 5%. Bring or show us the lower price (printed quote, in-store sign, or website screenshot) before purchase and we'll verify the comparison and drop ours 5% below. The other product must be the same brand or equivalent quality with similar materials, construction, and warranty.
Do you offer financing on mattresses?
Yes. We offer Affirm financing at 0% interest for qualifying buyers, approved in minutes. Minimum purchase is $899 before tax. You can split a Beautyrest queen mattress over 12 or 36 months — typically as low as $30/month for entry-level models. We do not offer Flexiti or in-house financing.
Brands, warranty & quality
What mattress brands do you carry?
We are an authorized dealer for two major Canadian-made brands: Beautyrest (including Centennial, World Class, Quintessence, Isla, Eryx, and the Beautysleep sub-brand: Dr. Hard, Erling, Keegan, Conley) and Serta (including Celebrate, Perfect Sleeper, iComfort, PerfectComfortX, Classic series). We also stock Rockwell boxed mattresses (Sweet Dreams, Hotel Plus, Adapt, Resort), Koala, BaseLogic adjustable bases, and Ergomotion bases.
Are you an authorized Beautyrest and Serta dealer?
Yes. Mr. Liquidator Mattress Outlet is a directly authorized dealer for both Beautyrest Canada and Serta Canada. That means every mattress we sell ships with the manufacturer's full original warranty (typically 10 years on premium models), and you can register your warranty directly with the brand. We are not a reseller — we buy direct.
What's the warranty on your mattresses?
Every new mattress we sell ships with the original manufacturer's warranty, which for Beautyrest and Serta is typically 10 years (varies by model). Warranty covers manufacturing defects, sagging beyond a specified depth, and material breakdown under normal use. We handle the warranty claim process for you — bring the issue to us first.
What's the difference between a comfort guarantee and a warranty?
The warranty (10 years on Beautyrest and Serta) covers defects — material failures, excessive sagging beyond a specified depth, structural breakdown. A comfort guarantee is a return or exchange option if you simply don't like the feel after sleeping on it for a while. We do not offer in-house comfort exchanges, but most manufacturers have their own. Always ask before purchase if a specific model offers a comfort-trial exchange.
Choosing the right mattress
How do I know if I want a firm or plush mattress?
Sleeping position is the main factor: back and stomach sleepers generally do best on Firm or Medium-Firm because the spine stays neutral; side sleepers usually prefer Medium or Plush because the shoulder and hip need cushioning. Combo sleepers fall in the middle. The most reliable answer is to lie on each feel for 10 minutes in our showroom — we have all three feels side by side.
Beautyrest or Serta — which should I pick?
Both are top-tier Canadian-made brands with strong warranties. The general feel difference: Beautyrest tends toward firmer feel with stronger pocket-coil support — popular with back and stomach sleepers and heavier bodies. Serta tends toward softer feel with more cushioning — popular with side sleepers and lighter bodies. The honest answer is to test both side by side in our showroom; almost everyone has a clear preference within minutes.
What kind of mattress should I get for my kid?
For kids, the priorities are: enough support to keep a growing spine aligned, durability against jumping, and reasonable price (kids outgrow beds). Our most-recommended kids' options are the Rockwell Sweet Dreams (Twin $249) and Serta Greenland 720 (Plush, Twin or Double). Both are sealed in plastic, warrantied, and easy to carry home. Boxed mattresses are great for kids because they're light and easy to set up.
What's the best mattress for heavier bodies?
For heavier sleepers (250+ lbs), look for high coil counts, hybrid construction (pocket coils + memory foam), and explicit support specs. Within our lineup, the Beautyrest World Class and Beautyrest Quintessence Super Pillow Top lines are the most-recommended — both have 875+ pocket coils, reinforced edges, and stand up to higher body weight without premature sag. Avoid all-foam mattresses under 12 inches for this use.
Do I need a box spring with my new mattress?
It depends on the bed frame. A platform bed (most modern frames) does not need a box spring — the slats provide support. A traditional metal bed frame designed for box springs requires one to support the mattress and validate the warranty. Adjustable bases do not need a box spring. If you are unsure, send us a photo of your current frame or describe it and we'll tell you.
Do you sell bed frames too?
Yes. We carry platform beds (wood, metal, upholstered, storage), adjustable bases (BaseLogic and Ergomotion lines), traditional metal bed frames, and box springs. When you buy a mattress and a frame together, we offer 20% off the frame. Headboards and matching nightstand options vary; ask at the showroom.
Wholesale & custom orders
Do you sell wholesale to hotels, Airbnbs, or property managers?
Yes. Wholesale pricing is available for orders of 8 or more mattresses, suitable for hotels, motels, Airbnb hosts, vacation rentals, property managers, senior care facilities, ministries, and commercial / contract buyers (hostels, dorms, work camps). Both Beautyrest and Serta are available wholesale. BC-wide delivery from our Chilliwack warehouse. Call (604) 392-6099 to talk to Ken directly.
How long does a custom foam mattress take?
Custom-cut foam mattresses are made locally in BC and ready in 5-7 business days from order confirmation. We cut foam to any non-standard shape and size for RVs, camper trailers, boats, cabin lofts, Murphy beds, antique bed frames, and odd-sized children's beds. Bring exact measurements and we'll quote on the spot.
How long does a custom natural latex mattress take?
Custom natural latex mattresses also ship in 5-7 business days. We cut and laminate latex layers to your dimensions in the same workshop. Latex is the luxury option — naturally cooling, ultra-durable, and ideal for buyers with chemical sensitivities. Available for any custom shape, RV, or odd-sized application.
Do you make RV mattresses?
Yes — RV and camper-trailer mattresses are one of our specialties. We cut foam and latex to fit any RV layout including short queens, three-quarter sizes, slide-outs, dinette beds, and bunk-over-cab configurations. Standard turnaround is 5-7 business days. Bring exact length-by-width-by-depth measurements; we quote on the spot.
